🔵 Meowth and Alolan Meowth Illustration Rares Revealed for 30th Celebration

To celebrate International Cat Day, Pokemon revealed Meowth and Alolan Meowth along with their Illustration Rares from the 30th Celebration set.

The two Illustration Rares are the chase versions here, and they add to the set’s growing checklist ahead of 30th Celebration’s worldwide launch on September 16th, the TCG’s first global same-day release.

🔵 Celebration Fanfare Promo Revealed for the 2026 Season

Pokemon revealed the 2026 Celebration Fanfare promo, the annual card sent to competitive players who hit a Championship Point threshold. Japanese players need at least 30 points by August 31st, while English players in North America, Europe, and Oceania earn it by reaching Ace Trainer status at 200 points.

It is the sixth version of the promo, with artwork that each year depicts popular Pokemon from the season’s decks. English players received the card for the first time last year, mailed out after the season wraps.

🔵 Pokemon Center Online Adds Japanese ID Requirement for Some 30th Celebration Items

To curb scalping, the Pokemon Center Online now requires buyers to verify their identity with a Japanese My Number Card through the Digital Identification App for certain purchases. The first four designated items are all part of the 30th Celebration series and go on sale next month, including the Mega Expansion Pack 30th Celebration Box and the Futuristic Box.

Since non-residents cannot obtain a My Number Card, the requirement effectively restricts those items to shoppers in Japan. It is the Pokemon Company’s latest move against resellers, building on the identity-verification system it unveiled last month.

🔵 400-Box First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 Lot Sells for $13.4k

The First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 released on August 7th, featuring the starter Pokemon of Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea.

Series 3 only launched on August 7th, so there is no real price history yet. Single sealed boxes have been moving around $39 to $42 (132 sold at $39.29 and 103 at $41.99 on August 10th), so at $13,400 this 400-box lot works out to about $33.50 per box, a slight bulk discount to the going single-box rate.

🔵 Plasma Blast Booster Box Sells for $12.6k

Plasma Blast is a 2013 Black & White era set, best known for its Team Plasma full arts (Genesect, Palkia, Dialga) and the Iris trainer.

The most recent comparable sold for $14,900 on July 27, so this $12,600 result is about 15% lower. Two June auctions closed at $13,250 and $12,311, leaving the box trading in a fairly tight $12,000 to $15,000 band over the summer.

🔵 Meowth ex Perfect Order SIR Sells for $12k in a BGS 10 Black Label

Perfect Order only came out on March 27th, so this is a top chase from a set that is barely a few months old. Meowth is a fan favorite but not a headline name like Charizard or Pikachu, and its Special Illustration Rare still cleared five figures here in a BGS 10 Black Label, the toughest grade to earn. Pristine Black Labels of the best cards from brand new sets are starting to pull the kind of money that used to be reserved for the big names.

These sales are not a direct comparison, since they are all PSA 10 copies rather than the BGS 10 Black Label here, but for reference the Perfect Order Meowth ex SIR in PSA 10 has been trading between $1,350 and $1,525 across five sales this spring, most recently $1,400 on May 5th. At $12,000, the Black Label went for roughly 8.5 times the going PSA 10 rate, about +760%.

🔵 2006 All Nippon Airways Pikachu Promo Sells for $7.4k in PSA 10

The All Nippon Airways Pikachu comes from ANA’s Pika Summer Trip campaign in the summer of 2006, tied to the airline’s Pokemon Jets, the passenger planes ANA had been painting with Pokemon since 1998. It was a travel giveaway rather than a retail release. There are 116 copies in a PSA 10.

PSA 10 copies sold for $1,875 last September and $2,075 in November, then roughly tripled into 2026, hitting $6,900 in mid-July. This $7,400 fixed price sale is up about 7% from that July comp, and roughly three and a half times higher than a year ago.

🔵 1999 CoroCoro Best Photo Bulbasaur Sells for $810k

The Best Photo Contest Bulbasaur is one of the rarest Japanese promos: only seven copies sit in PSA holders (three PSA 9s, one 8.5, two 8s, and a single PSA 4), and this is one of just two PSA 8s.

Comps are extremely thin. The most relevant recent sale is a PSA 9 that brought $200,000 on Fanatics Collect in July 2025, so even at a lower grade this \~$810,000 result is about 305% higher (roughly four times), a sign of how sharply the card has climbed.

🔵 1999 Masaki Vending Promo Complete Set Sells for $75.6k

Masaki Vending Promo Set of 5 · 1999

The Masaki promos are a scarce 1999 Japanese mail-away set from the Communication Evolution Campaign: collectors mailed in a pre-evolution card along with a Bill’s PC card and received the final-evolution holo in return, echoing trade evolution from the games. The set is named after Masaki, Bill’s Japanese name. This run features Gengar, Alakazam, and Golem among the five, all still in their original paper holders, with one keeping its mailing envelope.

The last comparable full set sold in March 2025 for just $3,050, and ironically that one was arguably more complete: all five cards kept both their paper holders and their original envelopes. This week’s set, with only one of the five envelopes, still brought roughly $75,640, about 25 times the March 2025 figure (roughly +2,380%), a striking sign of how far Masaki promo prices have run but nothing surprising given the market as a whole.
