🔵 Chaos Rising English Cards Revealed, All Cut and Added Cards Now Known

TPCi revealed several English cards from Chaos Rising, the next English set releasing May 22 with prereleases running May 9-17. The set will be a near 1:1 adaptation of Japan’s Ninja Spinner, making it another small English set following the pattern of Phantasmal Flames and Perfect Order. Fennekin’s Illustration Rare has been cut from the main set and will instead serve as the Elite Trainer Box promo.

The trend of smaller English sets stems from Japan’s recent decision to stop printing subsets, leaving fewer Japanese card pools to pull from when building English releases. Whether this reflects a strategy to address global TCG supply shortages by printing more copies of fewer unique cards, or a permanent shift toward smaller, more frequent releases, remains unclear.

🔵 Dodgers Pitcher Gets Custom Glove with Pokémon Card Built In

Dodgers reliever Will Klein received a custom glove from 44 Pro featuring a sleeved Tyranitar card over the webbing after ripping Pokémon packs on the field in Toronto went viral. Klein, who collects cards with his wife and frequents card shops on road trips, says he won’t game the glove to protect the card and is deciding whether to display it with his baseball memorabilia or his card collection.

🔵 14-Year-Old Hosts 2nd Annual Pokémon & Sports Card Show for Charity

Miller Lee, a 14-year-old from Huntingtown, MD, is hosting his second annual Sports and Pokémon Card Show on April 25, with all proceeds going to the Voices In Praise youth choir. After a successful debut last year, Lee doubled the number of participating vendors and handled all planning and logistics himself.
